RULES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Groups are to present shows created and realized in a totally, independent, unsupervised <\/strong>manner by current students (actors and directors) of the school.<\/p>\n

Whenever possible, Presence <\/strong>for the whole period is mandatory, as the Young Theatre festival aims to create an international campus where young artists share and compare their skills;<\/p>\n

each drama school may propose one project<\/strong> only;<\/p>\n

each group must not exceed 5 participants<\/strong> in Spoleto; this includes director, actors, and any designers, artists, or crew \u2013 for example: 1 director, 2 actors, 1 musician, 1 lighting designer\/operator;<\/p>\n

the project must be realized according to the fixed and unchangeable lighting system<\/strong> and to the technical plan<\/strong> of the performance space (plans here attached);<\/p>\n

the performance must last no longer than 30 minutes;<\/strong><\/p>\n

(<\/strong>if run time exceeds 35 minutes, the show will be excluded from competition for the prize)<\/p>\n

Load-in, rehearsal, strike: three hours<\/strong> for each group at \u201cSala Frau\u201d on the day of the performance;<\/p>\n

\u00a0synopses<\/strong> of the performance are to be detailed in the show description;<\/p>\n

each participant (including any teachers or technicians) must also attach a profile photo<\/strong>, jpeg format, max 300 kb;<\/p>\n

subtitles or captions<\/strong> in English are recommended and should be sent to the Accademia by June 7<\/strong> for necessary technical arrangements;<\/p>\n

after the performance each group is invited to hold a short discussion<\/strong> of the show;<\/p>\n

projects will be selected<\/strong> by a committee including representatives of the Accademia and the Festival di Spoleto by May 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

COMPETITION AND AWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A jury consisting of the director of the Spoleto Festival or a delegate (one vote), a theater or theater education personality (one vote), and the audience (one vote) will award the winning group with a monetary prize.<\/p>\n

First prize:1.200 euro<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

Second prize: 500 euro<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n

(the prizes may be awarded ex aequo)<\/em><\/p>\n

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Accademia \u201cSilvio d\u2019Amico\u201d will provide for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

accommodations for the performing groups, from June 23 (arrival) to June 29 (departure)\u00a0 – DATES ARE SUBJECT TO SLIGHT MODIFICATION <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The participating institution will cover the expenses for: <\/strong><\/p>\n

travel to and from Spoleto, local transport, meals, expenses for props and all that is not included in the technical plans of Sala Frau (attached).<\/p>\n

The Accademia will provide accommodation for 5 student representative of the project. Any other participant\u2019s expenses must be covered by the participating school. <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
