OPEN CALL<\/strong>
\nFrom June 3rd to June 6th 2021, UWE – DIE FESTIVAL will take place at the
\nTheaterakademie August Everding in Munich, Germany, for the fourth time.
\nUWE makes encounter, exchange and experiment possible. UWE stands for
\nemancipation from role assignments, from genre categories, from traditional
\ntheatre organisations, from the elitist ivory tower, from the virtual space, from
\nisolation. UWE is diverse.
\nUWE serves as an international networking platform for young, practical works
\ncreated in student contexts. UWE invites you to think beyond boundaries and
\ngenres, categories and stereotypes and is looking forward to your productions \u2013
\nbe they analogue or digital.
\nUWE \u2013 DIE FESTIVAL lives through international exchange. It is carried by us, a
\nteam of students from the Theaterakademie, and stimulated by YOU with artistic
\nimpulses and contents!<\/p>\n

Who can participate?<\/strong>
\nWe invite plays and other artistic works that were created by students in theatre
\ntraining or at university in all of Europe. We welcome all possible genres of
\nperforming arts. Especially, we are looking for works that can be realized under
\ncurrent pandemic rules. Small teams are preferred!<\/p>\n

What do we offer?<\/strong>
\n\uf0b7 The possibility to show your works to other students on professionally
\nequipped stages
\n\uf0b7 A diverse accompanying programme with workshops, discussions and
\nmuch more
\n\uf0b7 Sleeping accomodation in Munich for everyone who does not have
\naccess to private accommodation
\n\uf0b7 Subsidies available for the costs incurred for transport and the journey to
\nand from the festival
\n\uf0b7 Text and video reports about the festival<\/p>\n

The deadline for your application is January 22th 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Your application should contain the following:
\n\uf0b7 A short but precise description of your production taking into account
\nthe current hygienic measures (1-2 pages)
\n\uf0b7 Short biographies of all participants
\n\uf0b7 Pictures and\/or videos of your production (a link is sufficient)
\n\uf0b7 Indication of the duration (max. 60 minutes!)
\n\uf0b7 A technical rider with indications to the sound, video and lighting
\nconcept as well as the required equipment
\n\uf0b7 A rough calculation of your travelling and transportation costs
\n\u2192 Productions that require stage preparations of more than an hour
\ncannot be considered unfortunately.

\nThe chosen productions will be announced in the beginning of March 2021.
\nSince short-term changes due to possible travel restrictions cannot be
\nexcluded, there will be a list of successors. The judges\u00b4 decision is final.<\/p>\n
