The\u00a0Authorities\u00a0have\u00a0decided\u00a0to\u00a0postpone\u00a0the 2020 Festival\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a02\u00a0Worlds\u00a0in\u00a0Spoleto\u00a0due\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0restrictive\u00a0measures in place relating\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0emergency. As a consequence, the EUROPEAN\u00a0YOUNG\u00a0THEATRE\u00a0COMPETITION\u00a0has\u00a0also\u00a0been postponed.
\nAt\u00a0the\u00a0moment\u00a0it\u00a0is\u00a0not\u00a0possible\u00a0to\u00a0hypothesise new dates, but we will inform you promptly when these are communicated to us.<\/p>\n

RULES<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Groups are to present shows created and realized in a totally independent <\/strong>way by current students of the school (actors and directors) unsupervised. Exceptionally also project created by young professionals graduated in the last three Academic years can be accepted in the competition;<\/p>\n

the presence<\/strong> for the whole period is mandatory as the young theatre festival aims at the creation of an international campus where young artists share and confront their skills;<\/p>\n

each drama school can propose one project<\/strong> only;<\/p>\n

each group must not exceed 5 participants<\/strong> in Spoleto;<\/p>\n

the project must be realized according to the fixed and unchangeable lighting system<\/strong> and to the technical plan<\/strong> of the performing space (plans here attached);<\/p>\n

the performance must last no longer than 40 minutes;<\/strong><\/p>\n

setting and rehearsing: three hours<\/strong> for each group at \u201cTeatrino delle 6\u201d;<\/p>\n

synopses<\/strong> of the performance are to be detailed in the description of the show;<\/p>\n

each participant (including any teachers or technicians)must also attach a profile photo<\/strong>, jpeg format, max 300 kb;<\/p>\n

subtitles or captions<\/strong> in English and\/ or in Italian are recommended and should be sent to the Accademia by May 15th<\/sup><\/strong> for the necessary agreements on technical needs;<\/p>\n

after the performance each group is invited to hold a short meeting<\/strong> on the show;<\/p>\n

projects will be selected<\/strong> by a committee including representatives of the Accademia and the Festival di Spoleto by March 31st <\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

COMPETITION AND AWARDS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A jury made up of the director of the Spoleto Festival or a delegate (one vote), a personality of theater or theater education (one vote),\u00a0 and the audience (one vote)\u00a0 will award the winner group with a money prize.<\/p>\n

First prize:1.200 euro<\/strong> (the first prize can be awarded ex aequo)<\/em><\/p>\n

Second prize is euro 500<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Accademia \u201cSilvio d\u2019Amico\u201d will provide for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

accomodation for the performing groups, from\u00a0 \u00a0June 25th<\/sup> (check in) to June 30 (July 1st<\/sup> check out)\u00a0 – THE PLANNED DATES MAY CHANGE SLIGTLY –<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The participant institution will cover the expenses for: <\/strong><\/p>\n

travels to and from Spoleto, local transport, meals, expenses for props and all that is not included in the technical plans of Teatrino delle 6 (attached).<\/p>\n
